I’ve been looking forward to making this recipe for a month! It’s very similar to a favorite wartime recipe of mine for Carrot Rolls, so I knew I had to try this one.
March got away from me with school and home life, so I apologize for not posting this last month. I’m hoping to make up for it by posting 2 recipes in April, so look forward to that!
The first recipe for this month is this amazing Carrot Raisin Bread. It comes from the March 1944 issue of Farm Journal and Farmer’s Wife magazine.
As you can see, the recipe is from this great Pillsbury flour ad. I have found that recipes in ads usually turn out pretty well, and I suppose that was the point. Companies wanted people to have success with their products! And, boy was this recipe a success!
